Job Title: On-Site Construction Superintendent

At Stanley Smith Drywall, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced On-Site Construction Superintendent to oversee our projects in the Southeast region. This role requires a strong leader who can manage and supervise all on-site day-to-day activities related to drywall and painting subcontracting for multi-family residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Supervise and direct subcontractors and labor force, providing support to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, architects, and other stakeholders to address any issues or changes in project scope.
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment, ensuring timely availability for ongoing work.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
  • Identify and resolve any on-site challenges or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with a focus on drywall and painting.
  • Proven history of successfully managing multi-family residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices related to drywall and painting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide on-site personnel.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
