We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Motor Design Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our Engineered Products Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance motors and resolvers for various industries, including aerospace, military, and oil and gas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop conceptual designs, perform electromechanical analyses, and develop detailed designs for motors and resolvers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and support product prototype and pilot build fabrication and testing.
  • Participate in reviews with customers and provide customer support.
  • Drive the development of new products and support the portfolio of motion control products.
  • Collaborate with customers to capture requirements and translate them into formal documents.
  • Evaluate technical risk and drive action on risk burn-down plans.
  • Help define and drive research and development programs.
Requirements
  • Motor design experience using ANSYS Maxwell, MotorCAD, or similar design software.
  • AC/DC motor design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Full lifecycle experience from customer specifications/requirements to production.
  • New product development (NPD) experience.
  • Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing resolvers.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Defense industries.
  • SolidWorks expertise.
  • Experience with product design and development within a stage-gate process.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
