Job Summary

Flats LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance of our properties and ensuring that all physical aspects meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot and repair various aspects of the property, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.
  2. Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring they meet company standards and checklists.
  3. Maintain the exterior grounds of the property and perform seasonal duties such as snow removal and pool maintenance.
  4. Conduct regular walk-throughs of the property to identify and address any issues.
  5. Prepare for inspections and schedule outside contractors as needed.
  6. Clean and supply designated building areas as needed.
  7. Schedule and execute annual inspections, including fire extinguishers, life safety systems, and elevator inspections.
  8. Attend staff meetings and complete virtual trainings as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC certification preferred, with at least 1 year of residential maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
Competencies
  1. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  3. Strong personal skills to interact with tenants.
Physical Demands

This position requires walking, standing, sitting, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. May be exposed to various weather conditions when working on the exterior of the property. May need to lift weights up to 100 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime. Scheduled hours are 8 hours per shift, with some flexibility allowed.

Travel

Minimal travel is expected for this position.
