Job OverviewAunt Martha's Health and Wellness is committed to delivering exceptional care to our communities. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team.

Summary:

The Medical Office Assistant will perform general registration functions, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and collection of patient payments. This role requires superior relationship building and customer service skills, as well as the ability to function in a multi-tasking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and accurately record information.
  • Register new and established patients for all specialties using the electronic record system.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments for patients.
  • Collect and distribute internal and external mail as appropriate.
  • Conduct daily reminder and no-show calls per the established procedure.
  • Process new and established patients through the check-out process, including collection of patient payments and co-pays.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and batch close process at the end of each business day.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant strongly preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Ability to work late evening hours, weekend hours, and scheduled holidays.
