About the Role

Amarillo College is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Faculty - Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and developing curriculum for our Associate Degree Nursing program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and teach nursing courses, including classroom and online instruction, to ensure students receive a high-quality education.
  • Course Development: Create and update curriculum to ensure it aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students to ensure their success in the program.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices to enhance teaching and curriculum development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and enrollment in a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program with at least 6 hours of graduate-level nursing courses.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Experience: Nursing experience in the clinical area in which you will be teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Intensive Care, Pediatrics, or Cardiac Care Units.
  • Participation in Professional Organizations.
  • Evidence of Competence in Teaching and Curriculum Development.
  • Evidence of Continued Education.
