Job Title: GSE Mechanic

The Ground Support Equipment Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aviation equipment. As a skilled technician, you will diagnose and repair malfunctions in Ground Support Equipment (GSE), providing timely and effective solutions to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians on diagnosis and repair of complex maintenance issues.
  • Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions, and analyze equipment requirements to optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, and hand tools.
  • Maintain external fuel and grounding systems, and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE.
  • Service equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air, and diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions.
  • Disassemble and assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories and components, and store, handle, label, use, and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with environmental standards.
  • Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment, and operate, clean, inspect, and service GSE towing vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicle records, and update paper and electronic equipment records, providing dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance.
  • High school graduate or have an equivalency certificate from an accredited program, is required.
  • Must have a current valid state driver's license, and a commercial driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Must have at least two (2) years' experience working full-time on diesel generators and vehicles, and at least one (1) year of experience on gasoline engines and vehicles.
  • Must be proficient in Office software applications, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to meet required deadlines and maintain necessary workflow.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
