Position Title: Sales Clerk
Salary: $15.00/hour
Work Schedule: Full Time
Location: Portsmouth, VA – Exchange
Key Responsibilities:As a Sales Clerk, your primary duties will include:
- Greeting customers and providing assistance in selecting products.
- Addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Processing sales transactions accurately using cash registers, including handling various payment methods.
- Maintaining an organized and visually appealing merchandise display.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and restocking items as necessary.
- Implementing promotional displays and ensuring proper signage is in place.
- Adhering to loss prevention policies and safety standards.
- Being available to work on weekends as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to assist customers and operate a cash register, demonstrated through relevant education or experience.
- Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashier roles.
