Established in 1995, our organization has a long-standing history in mental health services dating back to 1964, providing support through various programs including emergency services, school-based initiatives, and clinical settings.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to fulfill the role of a Behavioral Technician (BT) within our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) department. This full-time position is based in our facilities and focuses on delivering essential services to clients in need.
Key Responsibilities

Core Duties
- Operates under the guidance of a BCBA, LP, LLP, or CMHP overseeing the ABA plan, ensuring compliance with supervision requirements.
- Delivers direct client care through a combination of intensive teaching methods and natural environment training.
- Implements prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior modification strategies.
- Records, tracks, and summarizes data on observable behaviors effectively.
- Facilitates training for parents and caregivers in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
- Communicates client progress to parents and caregivers as directed by the supervising professional.
- Employs safe and appropriate handling techniques when working with clients.
- Assists in the preparation of ABA materials as instructed by the supervising professional.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environment.
- Safely transports clients as per their individual service plans, ensuring proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintains a clean driving record.
- Advocates for and protects the rights of each individual served.
The Behavioral Technician (BT) provides vital Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with Autism and other behavior-related challenges. The interventions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual and their family, ensuring appropriate intensity and duration of services within their community. ABA services aim to enhance developmentally appropriate skills, fostering independence, and are delivered under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified professionals.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred experience includes a minimum of three months in a related field.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Within 180 days of employment, the candidate will complete a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training conducted by a qualified professional.
