Job SummaryThe Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will function in an Advanced Practice role, providing general and preventative care to patients of all ages. Under the general direction of the medical director, this individual will conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order labs, and prescribe medications. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care to adults and children, including health education, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses.
- Conduct routine check-ups and health screenings, and develop treatment plans to address patient needs.
- Order laboratory tests and prescribe medications as necessary, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Current California Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license.
- Graduate from an accredited Family Medicine NP/PA Masters Program.
- Three to five years of experience in Family Medicine, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
