Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled RN Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Wellstar Health System. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to grow and develop your leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in budget development and fiscal management, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, ensuring compliance and excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school (preferred).
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia (or eligible for compact state licensure).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and coaching.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National certification in nursing administration.
  • Experience in perioperative services or surgical nursing.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and quality improvement methodologies.
