Job Summary

Everence is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead small and large internal projects across all business areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for all stages of a project lifecycle, working with staff at all levels of the organization to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Provide day-to-day project leadership and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Project Methodologies: Work across Agile or Waterfall project methodologies as the situation dictates, collaborating with cross-functional project teams and project resources to implement projects and ensure goals are met.
  3. Project Planning: Maintain easy-to-understand and well-communicated project plans throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Work with the Product Owner or Project Sponsor to ensure the highest value features are delivered within the established schedule and budget.
  5. Issue Resolution: Actively participate in assisting the team to resolve issues and escalate as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  6. Project Monitoring: Manage project timelines and processes, regularly prioritizing and monitoring workflow to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  7. Team Facilitation: Facilitate effective and efficient team meetings, ensuring all team members are informed and aligned.
  8. Issue Escalation: Proactively escalate and inform any budget, timeline, deliverable, quality, or personnel issues as soon as an issue is known and facilitate joint problem-solving.
  9. Project Reporting: Prepare project status reports and conduct periodic status meetings to update project steering teams on progress, risks, and issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience: 3-5+ years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Skills and Abilities:
    1. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
    2. Strong budget management and tracking background.
    3. Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
    4. Comfortable with both big-picture analysis and hands-on, detail-oriented task management.
    5. Proven proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new software applications.
    6. Proficiency in managing large software implementations and complex projects.
    7. Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
    8. Excellent estimating, scheduling, and budgeting skills with an eye for minimizing risk.
    9. Excellent communication – including verbal, written, and presentation skills as well as interpersonal communication skills.
    10. Ability to inspire teams to a high level of quality and performance.
    11. Enthusiasm, positive energy, and ability to maintain grace and a sense of humor under pressure.
    12. Experience working with business owners to gather requirements, write project specifications, and communicate requirements.
    13. A solid understanding of all phases of the project lifecycle.
    14. Ability to take initiative, organize diverse tasks, work independently, and integrate and pursue corporate strategy.
    15. Ability to effectively lead and participate in cross-functional teams.
