About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Woodrow Wilson Townhomes, a Vesta community in Amsterdam, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing all assigned maintenance tasks to ensure the property meets safety, appearance, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical work.
  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct inspections of apartments, building systems, common areas, and grounds to ensure they meet Vesta quality standards.
  • Document all maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the Property Manager.
  • Assist with moving appliances, abandoned furniture, and unloading and storing supplies.
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of related experience in apartment community maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of and proven skilled ability to successfully repair and maintain drywall, lock change, and light electrical, carpentry, flooring, plumbing.
  • HVAC experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy.
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle with the ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen required.
