Decontamination and Sterilization Expert

Estimated Salary: $48,000 - $68,000 per year.

We are seeking a highly skilled Decontamination and Sterilization Expert to join our team at Terrebonne General Health System. As a key member of our Central Service Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care by properly decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontamination and Sterilization: You will be responsible for decontaminating and sterilizing all instruments, procedure trays, and patient care equipment to ensure they are safe for use in surgical procedures.
• Quality Control: You will conduct quality control checks on all prepared instruments and equipment to ensure they meet our high standards.
• Training and Education: You will provide training and education to staff members on proper decontamination and sterilization techniques.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience in a Central Service Department or related field.
• Excellent knowledge of sterilization techniques and protocols.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
