About the RoleThe Arc Central Chesapeake Region is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Self-Directed Services team, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of payroll review activities, including timecard review, data entry and confirmation, and analysis of computer-generated data.
You will work collaboratively with the Employee Relations Specialist, AP, Financial Reporting, and Intake teams to ensure the smooth processing of bi-weekly employee payroll, employee status updates, and communication with employees, employers, and their support teams regarding program requirements and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Communicate with employees, employers, and support teams regarding payroll-related matters
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll-related issues
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-1 year of experience in payroll and/or human resources
- Knowledge of Paycom is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other business technology tools

- Competitive hourly rate of $22.00
