Overview:
The individual in this role is tasked with supporting the planning, development, and execution of promotional activities, events, and various marketing initiatives for the Players Club and Player Development sectors within the Marketing Department.
Responsibilities:
KEY FUNCTIONS:

- Cultivates an environment that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for their gaming experience; actively builds and maintains guest relationships while mentoring team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Collaborates with the Marketing Operations Manager to establish themes, formats, and budget guidelines for specific promotions, events, and tournaments.
- Assists in maintaining and creating promotions within the promotional software and Casino Marketplace.
- Develops and outlines rules, processes, and policies for promotions and events under the guidance of the Marketing Operations Manager, ensuring compliance with Hard Rock regulations. Once approved, oversees the execution of all promotions, events, and tournaments according to these guidelines.
- Implements promotions and events within the venue, which includes assisting guests participating in promotions, completing necessary documentation for prizes and awards, checking in guests for marketing functions, and aiding patrons in the redemption process for gifts and giveaways.
- Ensures that promotional materials, signage, decorations, and other resources are properly displayed before and retrieved after each project, promotion, or event.
- Collaborates closely with the Players Club, Casino Hosts, VLT Department, Food & Beverage Department, Facilities, and Wardrobe Departments to address various guest-related concerns and needs.
- Works with operational departments to ensure timely coordination of all event-related tasks and requirements.
- Assists in overseeing the interviewing, selection, training, and disciplinary processes for subordinate team members.
- Supports Players Club and Player Development events and promotions as necessary.
- Supervises all promotional, event, and tournament functions and staff in the absence of the Marketing Operations Manager.
- Performs administrative tasks as required.
- Maintains the security and confidentiality of files, records, and lists.
- Establishes effective working relationships with all operational departments.
- Coordinates and communicates with third-party vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND /
OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis)
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in promotions, marketing, special events, or public relations is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is essential.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A keen eye for detail is required.
- Must adhere to all Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at Fire Mountain policies and procedures.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
(Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications as per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
- Must pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Previous experience in the Gaming industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Tribal Gaming is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Understanding of and experience in the regional gaming market.
- Familiarity with casino marketing functions, including database management, advertising, promotions, and branding.
- Knowledge of promotions and event planning, logistics, and execution, along with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in using computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases, with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Bally's CMP, Bally's EBS, Aristocrat OASIS, or similar software.
- Awareness of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of cash handling, marketing, and sales techniques.
ABILITY TO:
- Deliver a service level that creates an atmosphere encouraging guests to return, providing each guest with a positive and memorable entertainment experience.
- Consistently exceed expectations in fulfilling position responsibilities to contribute to organizational goals.
- Present an image of enthusiasm and professionalism while maintaining a polished appearance.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Participate in the development and administration of goals, objectives, and procedures.

- This position involves time spent on the Casino floor, subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, depending on guest volume.
