Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Beacon Orthopaedic Partners MSO LLC.
Job SummaryThe Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement patient care to achieve identified outcomes
- Assist surgeons and surgical technologists in the operating room
- Maintain a high standard of safety for patients and staff members
- Monitor stock levels, outdated supplies, and equipment needs
- Report to Materials Management Coordinator
- Serve as a role model and leader for technologists and nursing assistants
- Current licensure to practice in the State of Ohio
- Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course; ACLS preferred and PALS preferred
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years experience in perioperative nursing preferred
- Ability to adhere to one's work schedule and manage time appropriately
- Ability to circulate all types of cases preferred
- Organizational skills above average
- Knowledge and experience in facility, operating room, or facility nursing care
- Effective communication skills
- Effective positive interpersonal and customer relations skills via telephone and face-to-face interaction
The work environment is indoors in a climate-controlled environment. Patient care environment with potential exposure to unpleasant odors, to blood and body fluids that may carry infection, to infectious disease, and to chemical and electrical hazards. Occasional exposure to outdoor climate.
Physical RequirementsPhysical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and feel objects. Ability to climb, pull, push, and kneel. Ability to push a gurney with 150 lb. patient. Maximum unassisted lift = over 100 lbs. Ability to wear lead apron and push heavy equipment.
