Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This includes administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, monitoring vital signs, and providing wound care, ostomy care, and catheter care as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Provide wound care, ostomy care, and catheter care as needed
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Observe patients for changes in condition and report any significant findings to the RN
- Accurately document patient care activities, including medication administration, vital signs, and treatment procedures
- Maintain patient records and charts in accordance with facility policies and regulations
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulations, including infection control and safety standards
- Current LPN license in Ohio
- BLS Certification
- Strong clinical skills and experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
