InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly qualified English faculty member to join our team. As a Professor of English, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in English, including core courses and courses that fulfill the English/Writing requirements of our general education package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English core courses and courses that fulfill the English/Writing requirements of our general education package
  • Engage in student academic advising and mentor undergraduate majors
  • Render service at the program, divisional, school, college, and university level

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in English or related field required. Terminal degree preferred
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level in both traditional and online venues
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Requirements:

  • Excellence in knowledge and skills in relation to the appropriate field(s)
  • Demonstrated competence in teaching ability, along with an eagerness to improve
  • A strong testimony of personal faith and commitment to Christ is essential, along with an agreement to live according to our Community Lifestyle Statement
  • An enthusiasm for the Wesleyan tradition and ability to function well within a community hosted by The Wesleyan Church
