- Assist fellow EMS providers and provide comprehensive reports.
- Maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness, and restock supplies.
- Adhere to company and local agency policies and protocols.
- Demonstrate a clean appearance and professional, ethical behavior.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current position-specific state certification or a NREMT-specific certification with the ability to obtain reciprocity prior to the start date.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle adverse situations effectively.
The EMT position is physically strenuous and can be emotionally challenging. It involves bending, sitting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and equipment. The ability to drive/ride in an ambulance for extended periods without issue is required. Physical agility is necessary to lift and move patients safely.
