Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating computerized tomographic scanner equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated anatomical areas
  • Positioning patients using immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging
  • Adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance
  • Explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns in a compassionate and empathetic manner
  • Assisting physicians with invasive procedures and providing support during imaging studies
  • Developing and processing radiographs
  • Operating mobile equipment in various settings, including the operating room, emergency department, and patient's bedside
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient information using computerized documentation systems
  • Providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients undergoing imaging studies
  • Transporting patients as needed
  • Following Standard Precautions and using personal protective equipment as required
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • One year of experience in radiology or MRI
  • Preferably specific experience and training in CT scan
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology
  • Florida State License in Radiologic Technology
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • ARRT certification in Radiology and CT, preferred
