Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team at Omni Viking Lakes Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including buffet and plated items, to meet the needs of our guests.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu items and ingredients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
- ServSafe or equivalent food handlers certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
- Knife skills and basic mathematical skills, with an understanding of weights and measures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and multitask as needed.
Working Environment:
The successful candidate will be working in the interior of our hotel, in the restaurant and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam, and extreme temperatures.
