We are currently seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in Reston, Virginia. As a PCU - Progressive Care Unit travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive team while providing exceptional care to patients who require close monitoring.
About the JobAs a PCU Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for caring for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. This role involves utilizing computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.
- This position requires the ability to provide basic bedside care, stabilize critical cardiac patients, and prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication.
- The ideal candidate should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
