We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Critical Care RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- BLS certification upon hire, with ACLS certification required within 6 months.
- 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months of experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- CCRN, PCCN, or other critical care certifications.
- Experience with electronic health records and other clinical technologies.
- Knowledge of advanced respiratory modalities and hemodynamic monitoring.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and high levels of stress. The Critical Care RN may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and may be required to use physical restraints. The position also requires the ability to work with limited hazardous substances or body fluids and to exercise universal precautions.
