Pet Groomer

This position is responsible for providing exceptional pet grooming services to dogs, utilizing knowledge of canine characteristics and grooming styles and techniques.

• Deliver outstanding customer satisfaction by providing personalized pet grooming services.
• Assist in generating business by contacting existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, and following up with reminders.
• Book appointments and greet pets as they arrive, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.
• Report any accidents or injuries to the Store Manager promptly and maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow established bathing and grooming procedures to ensure high-quality services.
• Clean ears, clip nails, and perform other necessary services to maintain pets' health and appearance.
• Adhere to customer instructions for clipping patterns and styles.
• Utilize electric clippers, combs, and shears to clip dogs' hair according to determined patterns.
• Comb and shape dogs' coats to achieve a clean and polished appearance.
• Use non-physical techniques to keep animals calm and comfortable during the grooming process.
• Complete and maintain customer and company forms accurately and efficiently.
• Observe and adhere to all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Sweep, vacuum, clean, and sanitize cages, tubs, and other areas as needed to maintain high standards.
• Assist in store operations as needed, providing support to the team and ensuring a smooth workflow.

• Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience in pet grooming or styling, with a strong understanding of canine characteristics and grooming techniques.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of relevant training programs.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• Physical stamina to move and transfer live animals, equipment, and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and maintain a stationary position for up to 8 hours while grooming animals.
• Ability to frequently move around the salon to groom animals, clean, and maintain the area.

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Exposure to wet conditions, pets, and pet waste is common. The ability to work varied hours, including days, nights, and weekends, is essential.
