Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse Specialist to join our Pediatric Oncology team. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating various healthcare programs tailored for pediatric patients.

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will evaluate patient conditions, guide staff on essential techniques, and serve as a resource for both patients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review and uphold all protocols to ensure quality control and patient safety, assisting physicians in enhancing patient compliance.

2. Engage in quality improvement meetings to analyze cases and assess clinical outcomes.

3. Address the educational needs of families and healthcare professionals regarding patient care.

4. Perform additional duties as necessary, recognizing that all responsibilities outlined are essential functions of the role under applicable employment laws.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
- A current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State is required, along with any necessary specialized certifications.

- A minimum of 3-5 years of technical nursing experience and up to 2 years of leadership or management experience is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in pediatric oncology is highly desirable.

Compensation Information

The salary range for this position is between $78,000 and $130,000 annually. This range represents a good faith estimate of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant at the time of this job advertisement. Various factors may influence the final salary, including location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget considerations, and internal equity.
