Key Responsibilities- Health Care Tasks: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as provide medication reminders and administration.
- Personal Hygiene Services: Help clients maintain good personal hygiene, including toileting, incontinence care, and wound care.
- Housekeeping Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe and record changes in clients' conditions, and report any concerns or issues to supervisors.
- Certification: PCA (Personal Care Aide) certification, issued by Home Helpers.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Criminal Background: No prior felony or reoccurring misdemeanor convictions.
- Multi-State Background Check: Required.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Driving Record: Minimum of 2-year clean driving record.
- Health Requirements: Current TB test and CPR/First Aid certification.
The Home Care Aide position requires the ability to perform tasks under the direction of a supervisor, while working in clients' homes, senior living facilities, clinical settings, rehabs, and hospitals. The role involves a high degree of accuracy in observing, recording, and reporting, as well as moderate physical effort or strain, including lifting, constant stooping, and walking. Good communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, their families, Home Helpers office, supervisors, and other employees.
