About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cascade Management. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilities Maintenance: Assist the maintenance team in keeping the buildings and grounds in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  2. Repair and Maintenance: Perform minor plumbing, janitorial, and other related maintenance activities as required, ensuring all repairs are completed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  3. Grounds Maintenance: Pick up trash on grounds, keep breezeways, sidewalks, and grounds clear of clutter and debris, and perform other tasks as needed.
  4. Apartment Turnovers: Assist in cleaning and turnover of vacant apartments, ensuring they are rent-ready for the next tenant.
  5. Inspections and Reporting: Conduct move-out inspections, report any issues, and perform other inspections as directed.
  6. Maintenance Requests: Assist in completing maintenance requests, work orders, and update the Property Maintenance Log daily.
  7. Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of all units.
  8. Safety and Compliance: Notify the Community Manager of safety-related issues and lease agreement violations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and insurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, draft routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Regularly lifting and/or moving 50-75 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving more than 100 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel for extended periods.
