GIS Intern Opportunity

Halff is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GIS Intern to join our team in Austin, TX. As a GIS Intern, you will provide support for GIS mapping tasks, database development, and engineering-related studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of GIS databases and mapping applications
  • Conduct spatial analysis and data visualization using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Produce high-quality maps and reports for various stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or other GIS-related field
  • Working knowledge of general GIS concepts, including editing, topology, and queries
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and improve workflows
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work
Desired Skills:
  • ArcGIS Desktop v10.x and/or ArcGIS Pro 2.x-3
  • Microsoft Office
  • Strong work ethic
  • Interest in staying current on uses and best practices of geospatial technology
