Job Summary

MNS Engineers Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure consulting firm, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of bridge and roadway projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Work closely with technical field inspectors and project team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Construction Engineering: Perform a variety of construction engineering tasks, including roadways and bridges.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Responsible for ensuring project quality and compliance with contract documents.
  • Staff Management: Manage professional and technical staff, as well as contract administration.
  • Documentation: Review and prepare progress and final documents to meet State and Federal Highway Administration requirements.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and approving agencies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensure: California registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • Experience: 8+ years of construction contract management experience related to roadway and/or bridge construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working Knowledge: Familiarity with CALTRANS and local agency projects, as well as document coordination on federally funded projects.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Able to effectively manage people and negotiate change orders.
