Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Frye Regional Medical Center. About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Frye Regional Medical Center, you will be responsible for implementing care plans, monitoring patients, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive support for patients and their families. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with patients to educate them on their treatment options and promote health and wellness.

This is a full-time position working primarily Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm. However, schedules may vary depending on case load, and occasional support shifts for PACU may be required. No call, no holidays, and no weekends – just a supportive environment that values your well-being and offers professional growth opportunities.

  • Implement care plans, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Monitor and record patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • A current RN license to practice in NC
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Prior experience in PACU, ICU, or ER settings is highly desirable
