Senior Truck Service Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Truck Service Technician will provide exceptional support to both internal and external clients through various communication channels including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
This position primarily operates remotely but will necessitate regular travel across the eastern United States.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
These responsibilities are not exhaustive and additional tasks may be assigned.
- Diagnose the underlying causes of technical problems related to refuse vehicles and determine the appropriate steps to resolve them.
- Foster a professional rapport with clients and collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and provide guidance to fellow service technicians as required.
- Disseminate all service-related documentation from McNeilus, including service bulletins, informational notices, and product updates to both customers and team members.
- Lead training initiatives, organize, and coordinate team training sessions as necessary.
- Analyze data from various systems to assist and guide other customer support technicians in their repair tasks.
- Participate in New Product Development (NPD) teams as a service representative and engage in the review of engineering change notices.
- Collaborate in ongoing training efforts, both internally and externally, to enhance proficiency on a range of products.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel over 50%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in a relevant field.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in the industry.
- Background in contact center operations or hands-on equipment repair.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented.
