Position Overview: Soliant is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our educational team. In this role, you will assist students facing various physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges, facilitating their development and enhancing their daily living and academic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and evaluations to identify students' functional capabilities and requirements.
- Design and execute personalized treatment plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care abilities.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other school personnel to incorporate occupational therapy techniques within the classroom.
- Track and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Engage in IEP meetings, providing valuable insights regarding students' occupational therapy needs.
- Guide and educate school staff and parents on strategies to promote student independence.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in a school or pediatric environment is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
