About the Role

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist or Radiology Technologist, Senior to join our team in the Radiology department. This part-time position will work evenings from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with rotating holidays and on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general radiographic and fluoroscopic exams as applicable
  • Prepare rooms for procedures and review exam requests to ensure correct exams are ordered on the correct patients
  • Interview patients and review clinical data to alert nurses and physicians to possible contraindications for procedures
  • Ensure patients receive the same level of care as provided on their unit
  • Explain exam procedures to patients and family members, and prepare and administer oral and/or IV contrast as needed
  • Follow department protocols and utilize the image management system to acquire, format, manipulate, archive, and print images
  • Accurately report total number of images taken and number of and reason for repeat radiographs
  • Assist physicians and residents with radiology exams and procedures, and utilize the EPIC system appropriately
  • Maintain equipment and rooms in proper working condition and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment
  • Respect and use equipment appropriately, and take ownership of incidents involving themselves and the equipment
  • Perform various clerical duties, quality control procedures, and promote a healthy work environment and good teamwork
Requirements
  • Completion of a formal educational Radiologic Technology program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Currently certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Maintains minimum CEU credits as mandated by the ARRT
  • Possess current CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of employment
