Job Description


The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating patient care, including direct patient care, patient education, and transitions of care. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.



Responsibilities



  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized patient plans, taking into account patient preferences, cultural background, and lifestyle
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and high-quality patient outcomes
  • Mentor and educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management
  • Pursue ongoing professional development and education to stay current with best practices and advancements in nursing


Requirements



  • Current RN licensure in applicable state(s)
  • One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends, and be available for on-call shifts
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, effective communication, and critical thinking skills


Compensation and Benefits


We offer a competitive salary range of $32.84-$55.84 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
