Program Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Aide to join our team at Save the Children. As a Program Aide, you will play a vital role in providing educational, relational, and social experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, fostering their growth and development in all domains.
Key Responsibilities- Assist classroom staff in all classroom activities, including daily management and other duties as needed.
- Support the Teacher in various aspects of the program, such as Family Nights, copying newsletters, and preparing materials.
- Provide custodial support, including cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring the safety and security of children and families.
- Participate in food service tasks, including food preparation, serving, and clean-up.
- Attend workshops, meetings, and activities as required, and maintain strict confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Certification as applicable by federal, state, or local Head Start or child care regulations.
- Basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
- Knowledge of working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to relate sensitively with children and work effectively with staff, parents, and families.
