Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Investigator - Origin and Cause Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fire investigation team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and detailed investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions. Your expertise will be essential in helping us to identify the root causes of these incidents and develop effective solutions to prevent them from happening again.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive and detailed investigations to determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions
  • Develop and maintain rapport with federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as private information bureaus
  • Identify and interview witnesses or involved persons who may possess information or knowledge pertaining to the incident under investigation
  • Conclude investigations and determine negligence and violation of laws
  • Develop and maintain technical competency within the area of specialization with regard to existing laws pertaining to rights of privacy and availability of public records
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Minimum certification of NAFI-CFEI certification
  • IAAI-CFI Certification is preferred
  • Five (5) years of fire investigation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Efi Global offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits. The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
