Position Overview:
This Float RN role will transition between the Operating Room and the Ambulatory Surgery department based on surgical requirements. The position entails a shift from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with responsibilities including:
- Conducting patient assessments to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Administering, monitoring, and documenting therapeutic interventions.
- Effectively managing rapidly evolving clinical situations.
- Engaging in clinical decision-making processes.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and care needs.
- Delegating and overseeing care provided by nursing staff and the healthcare team.
- Upholding patient safety and standard precautions in all practices.
- Participating in the orientation and ongoing education of healthcare team members.
- Contributing to performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining professional competencies and departmental standards.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a valid New Jersey RN License, which must be maintained in accordance with state regulations. Candidates should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, hospital protocols, and standards. Continuous professional development through education and current literature is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate team efforts are also required.
