Position: Patient Financial Access Counselor
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient accounts from the initial interaction through to resolution.
- Offer financial guidance to patients who are self-paying or underinsured.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Leverage various software tools to effectively oversee accounts.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. An associate degree or experience in customer service is preferred. CHAA or CRCS certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
Experience: 3-4 years in an Access or similar environment with a strong emphasis on customer service. Demonstrated ability to resolve intricate account issues.
Licensure: CHAA or CRCS certification is essential.
Essential Skills: Must be self-motivated, organized, and possess excellent interpersonal abilities. Capability to independently resolve issues, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to various systems is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical personnel are necessary.
