Job Description

Job Title: Operating Room Manager

Job Type: Contract

Location: In-person

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Manager to join our dynamic team at GHR Search. This role is critical to managing high-acuity trauma cases and ensuring seamless operations within our Operating Room (OR) department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the OR board and coordinate daily OR activities.
  • Utilize efficiency metrics and EPIC to monitor and enhance operational performance.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and case scheduling to ensure optimal flow and coverage.
  • Attach preference cards and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor patient safety and quality standards with meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of Trauma Level 1 experience and at least 2 years as a Flow Manager.
  • Skills: Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in high-acuity trauma cases. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Certifications: Active NJ RN license, BSN degree, and Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with EPIC and efficiency matrix management.

Contract Details:

  • Hours: Saturday and Sunday, with options for 24 or 36-hour contracts.
  • Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Call: No on-call required due to weekend schedule.
  • Compensation: approximately $2,700-$3,300/week

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the state of New Jersey
  • Demonstrated ability to run the OR board effectively and manage all aspects of flow within the OR.
  • Proven track record in staff and case scheduling.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining OR equipment.
