We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Travel Contract LPN in Dermatology. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the supervision of a physician and Nurse Manager to provide competent and compassionate nursing care to patients and families. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans
  • Administer medications within parameters defined by the Dermatology Service
  • Perform nursing procedures within the parameters defined by the Dermatology Service
  • Photograph patients with various skin conditions using a variety of photographic procedures, techniques, and equipment
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities and support peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care
  • Triaging of patient urgent clinical calls and scheduling patient appointments
  • Inform patients of pathology, lab results, and plan of care
  • Utilize In-Basket messages to monitor all biopsies and ensure that all necessary therapies are administered as scheduled by the physician
  • Provide clinical nursing coverage across the Medical Dermatology specialty services
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed
Requirements:
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
  • CPR certification required
  • Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program required
  • LPN experience preferred
