Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Hawthorne House Inc. As an LPN, you will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor resident's vital signs and record them in their file
  • Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each resident, including bathing, feeding, and dressing
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication
  • Update resident records in a confidential manner
  • Evaluate the resident's wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff
  • Explain treatments and procedures to residents and families
  • Change dressings and bandages, ensuring residents are healing properly
  • Move residents from wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in Maine
