Job Summary

The Audiologist will identify, diagnose, and treat disorders of the auditory and vestibular system portions of the ear using various behavioral and auditory tests, including Tympanometry and Stapedial reflex tests, for patients of all ages. The Audiologist will also perform evoked potential tests with sedation, without sedation, and during surgery, and assess and program bone-anchored hearing devices. Working in a team-based, multi-specialty environment, the Audiologist will provide care in a patient-focused manner, providing evaluation, assessment, education, and materials appropriate to the patient's level of understanding.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in Quality Improvement Projects and Clinical Research Studies
  • Assist with authorizations, diagnosis, or billing issues
  • Document all interventions
  • Participate in departmental meetings/inservices, education, evaluation, and selection of equipment
Requirements
  • MA or MS in Audiology, Completed CFY in Audiology, CCC-A through ASHA and NYS License or eligible for NYS license in Audiology required
  • CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in ambulatory or outpatient services
  • Experience and interest working with pediatrics
  • Strong Cochlear and Baha experience
