We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Deeplocal. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality work on a variety of exhibit and interactive experience fabrication tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication: Detailed, high-quality fabrication of custom components in metal, wood, and plastics.
  • Finishing: Painting and bodywork of exhibits and sub-components.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with designers, engineers, and technologists to develop innovative solutions to complex fabrication challenges.
  • Maintaining Equipment and Supplies: Inspect and maintain equipment, order new parts and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborating: Work with a team to ensure project requirements are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • High degree of technical ability in commercial, fine art, or interactive exhibit fabrication.
  • Experience with millwork, cabinetry, body work, airbrush, and HVLP spray gun preferred.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to think quickly and solve problems.
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver who is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Excited by new challenges and never-been-done-before work.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow quality and safety standards.
  • Embrace and help lead production towards more digital manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of cut lists and blueprint specifications.
  • Ability to read measuring tools and other shop tools.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and responsible.
  • Computer skills required, Google Suite experience is preferred.
