Job Title: Ecologist/Biologist

Job Summary: Terracon, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a growth-oriented Ecologist/Biologist for our southwestern ecology team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to projects across the southwest, including work in Nevada, Utah, California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
• Assist an existing environmental team to deliver work products and consulting solutions for clients.
• Work with senior staff to employ best practices for risk management and loss prevention.
• Assist safety efforts for project field team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines.
• Willing to learn and obtain understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Understand and implement technical requirements to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
• Perform site visits, field observations and field data collection in area of technical expertise.

Requirements for the Position:

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree(s) in Botany, Biology, Ecology, and a minimum 1 year related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years' related experience.
• Understanding of, and/or committed willingness to learn, Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Proficiency in use of GIS and Microsoft Office software, including electronic document preparation is desirable.
• Able to acquire certifications and/or species-specific permits such as 10(a) scientific study permits for one or more species.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
