Welcomes visitors and interacts with patients and healthcare providers.
Manages workflow and maintains records of office activities.
Completes all facets of the check-in/check-out process.

Updates and enters patient demographic and insurance details.
Collects copayments and outstanding balances from patients during visits.
Prepares for appointments by completing pre-appointment checklists.
Handles phone communications, including placing, answering, and directing calls, as well as managing messages from the answering service.
Ensures the office environment remains organized and presentable.
Monitors and keeps track of necessary office supplies.
Responds to information requests, including reviewing files and records, addressing inquiries, and managing incoming work requests.
Timely addresses all front office task buckets.
Coordinates referrals for patients to see other healthcare providers as directed. Sends necessary records and notifies patients as required.
Performs additional tasks as assigned by practice leads, supervisors, managers, and the Market director.

Surgery Scheduler Responsibilities:
Organizes all surgical and radiologic procedures as instructed by physicians.

Documentation Duties:
Completes necessary documentation including orders, consent forms, insurance authorizations, coding for procedures and diagnoses, and medical charts for hospitals. Arranges pre/post-operative appointments and meets with patients to finalize all required paperwork.

Prior Authorization/Precertification:
Codes all surgical and radiologic procedures.

Contacts patients' insurance providers to confirm coverage and benefits; verifies prior authorization/precertification requirements before any surgical or radiologic procedure.

Submits required information with all orders and coordinates peer-to-peer reviews when necessary.
