Mechatronics Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechatronics Intern to assist our Embedded Systems / Mechatronics team in developing supporting electronics for our revolutionary electric propulsors. The ideal candidate will design and debug prototype hardware systems, create Printed Circuit Boards, and write embedded C drivers and test code. Additionally, the candidate will assist the broader Mechatronics team with CAD, postprocessing parts, and electro-mechanical prototype design.

• Design and debug prototype hardware systems
• Design Printed Circuit Boards based on prototyped systems
• Write embedded C drivers and test code
• Assist in soldering PCBs and broader electrical systems
• Generate concepts using CAD to support the mechatronics team
• Integrate electrical and mechanical systems together
• Communicate with other groups to align work with broader company efforts

• US Person
• Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Proficient with discipline-specific software: PCB Design Software (Altium Preferred), CAD (SolidWorks preferred), C/C++ (various IDEs), python
• Experience with hands-on projects in the field of study
