Our Pediatric Cardiac ICU is a state-of-the-art unit dedicated to the management of acute care for a broad range of congenital and pediatric acquired heart conditions. We provide care for pre- and post-operative patients, as well as those with nonsurgical cardiac conditions such as cardiomyopathy, myocarditis, and heart rhythm abnormalities.
Our TeamOur team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals work together to provide safe, efficient, and age-specific care to our patients and their families. We use the nursing process to assist our patients in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status.
Responsibilities- Implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care.
- Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
- Demonstrate clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
- Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
- Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- One (1) year of licensed inpatient RN experience is required. Prefer candidates with inpatient Cardiac, ICU, ED, or pediatric RN experience.
- Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program required.
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
