About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemistry Analyst to join our team at Matrix Sciences International Inc. in Sherwood, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical testing of food & ingredients, plant tissue samples and soil & water using gas and/or liquid chromatography.
  • Identify, communicate, and document non-conformities with instrumentation and methodologies, and assist with troubleshooting, assessment of root cause and subsequent implementation of corrective actions.
  • Perform routine and non-routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in quality system activities, including maintenance of test and training records.
  • Ensure sample turnaround time goals and other key performance indicators are met.
  • Review & revision of controlled documents and procedures.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to ISO 17025:2017 accreditation status.
  • Under the direction of senior staff, conduct method validation activities including documentation and communication of results and status.
  • Identify and assist with implementation of process improvements.
  • Adhere to lab safety procedures and reporting standards.
  • Follow written Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, preferably Chemistry. Relevant laboratory experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
  • Positive outlook with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
