Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Scientist GIS Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our account team, you'll leverage your expertise in GIS technology to advise customers on their most complex business challenges. With a strong focus on technical consulting and solution design, you'll craft innovative solutions that showcase the value of GIS technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain deep knowledge of ArcGIS technologies, including mapping, spatial analysis, and web applications.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with account teams to provide technical guidance on sales strategies, ensuring seamless execution of customer solutions.
  • Solution Design: Proactively identify opportunities to demonstrate the value of GIS technology to customers, crafting compelling solutions that address their critical challenges.
  • Presentation and Communication: Deliver engaging presentations to technical and non-technical audiences, effectively communicating the benefits of GIS technology.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with Esri technology, focusing on creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
  • 1+ years of experience working in the sciences industry, leveraging GIS tools to drive insights and innovation.
  • Strong understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context, including hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in technical consulting, conceptual solution design, and sales support processes.
  • Knowledge of geodatabases, DBMS technology, and cloud computing concepts (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills, with ability to travel domestically or internationally (25-50%).
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, data science, earth sciences, computer science, or a related field.
