Job Overview:

Ferrovial is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations for our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement permitting strategies for renewable energy projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, environmental consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Manage relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, monitor their progress, and ensure compliance issues are resolved.
  • Identify and mitigate environmental risks associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant environmental laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
  • +5 years of experience in permitting and regulatory compliance, specifically for renewable assets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and guidelines in renewable energy.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing projects throughout permitting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with government agencies at local, state, and federal levels.
